Friedreich's ataxia is a rare genetic disease that causes difficulty walking, a loss of sensation in the arms and legs, and impaired speech. It's also known as spinocerebellar degeneration. ... Friedreich's ataxia is one type of this condition.

The Signs & Symptoms of Friedreich's Ataxia are:

1)  loss of coordination (ataxia) in the arms and legs.

2)  fatigue - energy deprivation and muscle loss.

3)  vision impairment, hearing loss, and slurred speech.

4)  aggressive scoliosis (curvature of the spine)

5)  diabetes mellitus (insulin - dependent, in most cases)

6)  difficulty digesting carbohydrates.

7)  serious heart conditions, including  hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and arrthymias

These symptoms are not present in all individuals with FA, for example diabetes occurs in about 10-20% of individuals with FA.

The mental capabilities of people with Friedreich's ataxia remain completely intact.

The progressive loss of coordination and muscle strength leads to motor incapacitation and the full-time use of a wheelchair.

Most young people diagnosed with FA require mobility aids such as a cane, walker, or wheelchair by their teens or early 20s.

After the 2 weeks Ayurveda
Overall I feel energized, much stronger and therefore much more confident of doing things by myself again.

How Yoga helped:
Going to the yoga class each morning helped to strengthen my legs which led to the fact that I started to walk the stairs with help (instead of sitting in the wheelchair all the time).
Chanting Ohm clearly focused my mind and strengthen the muscles in my throat so that I don't swallow that often as I did before.
Streching helped to release all the muscles in my body after sitting in the wheelchair the whole day.
The exercises with the breath helped to overcome the shortness of breath.

How the food helped:
I am sure that miss out the sugar and reducing gluten helps a lot to get control over the diabetes part.
Also, renouncing the alcohol allowed the body to reduce the trembling and shaking of the muscles.

Oil therapies:
The sensation in the arms and legs came back gradually.
The coordination of the hands got much better.
The coordination of the legs and feet got much better.
Energy overall came back to my bod, muscles and soul.

--> Friends and my family are highly impressed by the positive affect of the 2 weeks treatment.

Conclusion – Ayurveda & Yoga are Best  supportive Treatments in Friedreich's ataxia
