gives the thorough knowledge of normal functioning of various systems in the
body by means of Ayurvedic as well as Modern Knowledge
PSO FOR -- UG students
Get to know the basic concepts &
Physiology of Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Agni,
Sara and Prakruti, which are most important to understand for the Pathology in
second year of BAMS & Treatment of
the diseasein Final year of BAMS . Students are also exposed to the basic
concepts of modern physiology. Modern Physiology helps them to clarify
Ayurvedic concept in more clarified manner –For Example In Rakta Sarata rakta
varna has to be seen in Akshi ,Nakha etc .Modern Physiology explains them that
this red colour is due to Haemoglobin ,which is a Chromo –Protein . Points
mentioned by Charak Vimansthana are subjective type .Students can add
Haemoglobin Estimation as Objective Parameter for Rakta Sarata

Gain more detail
insight of the subject + practical
application of the concepts. In depth study of Ayurvedic points through
Ayurvedic Samhitas & their critics . Practical experiences through clinical
examinations, research work. PG Students after doing MD can become Good Teacher
or Researcher of Kriya Sharir .All this boosts their confidence in this regard
& also for Medical practice.
